Motorola Q9H will vibrate but will not ring please help?

I just got a used Motorola q9h from an ebay wholesaler and for some reason it will not ring and there is no sound at all when i tried to play music but the speaker seems to work perfectly fine when i put calls on speaker. Does anybody have any idea what causes this problem? Thanks
