In your family, which people have been more successful, religious or non-religious?

I am compiling information for a family tree. The tree is large, and goes back to 1600s. I am seeing some great successes and some sad stories. We have Mormons, Catholics, Lutherans (so far). We have non-religious. What do you see in your families. Perhaps there are lessons to be drawn for us and our children?
